Rubinstein’s damsire, Angelo xx, was one of the most successful Westphalian sires and the highest winning Thoroughbred stallion of all German Warmblood breeds. His sons include Ahlerich (ridden by Dr. Klimpke for 3 Olympic, 2 World Championship, and 4 European Championship Gold Medals). Angelo xx and his full brother, Amon xx (Olympic dressage for Holland), are full brothers of Rubinstein’s dam, Antine. Read more
Olympic Ferro was the beautiful black stallion with Coby van Baalen as his rider. Ferro was born in 1987 out of Ulft x Farn x Prefekt. He became keur in 2000 and preferent in 2004. Unfortunately he died of colic in 2005 at the age of 18. Read more
I was in college when these two were made their rightful path to fame. Dr. Klimke has won 6 gold and 2 bronze Olympic medals, which is quite an achievement. Ahlerich was his most prestigious horse as the combination won gold medals in the Olympics, World and European Championship and seven German National Championships. Read more
